Chris Wilder is preparing his team for a break from Championship action this weekend as they host divisional rivals Preston North End in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend.

The former Northampton boss has issued some early team news to the club's website ahead of the clash with Alex Neil's side and had an exciting slice of news regarding Ched Evans.

Evans rejoined the club in the summer but has not played since the match against Wolves in September but could be in line to return against Preston.

The Blades have done well in Evans' absence but Wilder loves having an array of attacking options at his disposal so he will surely welcome the Welshman's return and the cup tie marks a perfect opportunity to give him some time to get back to fitness.

The Verdict

Evans will need time to get back to full fitness but will add another dimension to the Blades attack.

Just having one absentee, for Sheffield United's relatively thin squad, would be a major coup.
