Wilder favourite axed: The Sheffield United players likely to never pull the shirt on again

Published

Sheffield United’s transfer business this summer is now starting to get active, with two players arriving recently.

David McGoldrick arrived at Bramall Lane on a free transfer, following defender John Egan from Brentford and goalkeeper Dean Henderson on loan from Manchester United.

But it is not just new arrivals at Sheffield United, as players are also leaving the club.

David Brooks joined Bournemouth on a permanent deal, Louis Reed was sold to Peterborough United, Hull City signed George Long, James Hanson headed to AFC Wimbledon and Clayton Donaldson was released while the Blades have sanctioned a number of loan deals for the likes of Nathan Thomas, Samir Carruthers, Ben Heneghan and Ched Evans.

You can expect more transfer activity before the window closes and here are two players who could be axed before the start of the new season.
