Wigan make bid for Adam Forshaw

Wigan Athletic have made a bid for Brentford midfielder Adam Forshaw, according to Sky Sports journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Forshaw won the League One Player of the Season award this year.
The former Everton player was signed for Brentford by current Wigan Uwe Rosler for the Bees back in 2012. After a successful loan spell, Forshaw signed a two-year deal with Brentford before the 2012/13 season and has since made 82 appearances at Griffin Park, scoring 11 times.
It appears that Wigan boss Uwe Rosler is keen to be re-united with the player who won the PFA League One Player of the Year award last season.
Forshaw’s current deal expires in the summer of 2016 so Wigan would have to pay a premium for the highly-rated youngster.
Wigan lost Jordi Gomez to Sunderland earlier in the summer and are keen to replace the creative midfielder. Manchester City youngster Emyr Huws recently signed on loan but it seems that Rosler is keen to add further depth to his squad at Wigan.
