Wigan Athletic midfielder Sanmi Odelusi has been told he can leave the League One club after just three months, according to the Coventry Telegraph.
The wide player who has previously spent time on loan with Bolton Wanderers and Coventry City put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract in the summer, but now looks set to be on the way out of the DW Stadium.
The 22-year-old has played just twice this season for Gary Caldwell’s side and it would appear that the boss has not been too pleased with the player’s performances and is now ready to ship the youngster out.
The news is bound to alert several clubs in the Football League with Odelusi being the subject of increased transfer speculation in the summer, before finally settling on a move to the Latics.
The Latics are creeping up the Sky Bet League One division and currently sit in eighth position in the division, having accrued 13 points from eight league games so far.
Wigan face Oldham Athletic in their next Sky Bet League One match, in a match where they will no doubt be eager to pick up three points, to help propel them into the play-off zone in the league.
Wigan fans… What do you make to this news? Is there some sort of hidden agenda here? Is the move down to the player’s attitude of application? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
