Wigan Athletic are eyeing up a late move to bring Bristol City striker, Aaron Wilbraham to the DW Stadium, according to reliable journalist, Alan Nixon.

Wilbraham has found himself out of favour at Bristol City this season, largely due to the form of Tammy Abraham, and the arrival of Milan Duric could well push him further down the pecking order.

One stumbling block in the deal, could be that Bristol City are fighting Wigan in the battle to beat the drop, so strengthening the rival wont be on the agenda for Lee Johnson in the final day of the window.

Wilbraham has been influential for Bristol City in regaining their Championship status and keeping it over the past two years, but he has now been replaced at Ashton Gate, and his time with the Robins could be up.

At 37, Wilbraham is approaching the latter stages of his career, but a move to Wigan could revive his career and get him playing some much needed football.
