Birmingham City confirmed their safety in style on Sunday with a convincing 3-1 win over high-flying Fulham.

That capped off a very strong end to the season under Garry Monk, who has done a very good job since replacing Steve Cotterill at St. Andrew's.

Whilst there are many reasons for fans to be optimistic about the future it still can't hide from what was a very disappointing campaign for the Blues.

Given the level of investment into the team, observers thought the West Midlands side could make a push for the play-offs this season.

That will be the challenge for Monk now but he is aware that a lot of new additions are needed.

Yet, that will also see players depart. Here we look at THREE players who are unlikely to be at the club by August...

The goalkeeper wanted to leave in January, but a move to Derby was blocked by Blues late on.

However, they wouldn't stand in his way if another chance to move comes up in the summer as they have a lot more time to find a replacement.

A lot was expected of the big defender after he joined from Barnsley in the summer, but he hasn't really delivered.

Monk has gone with Michael Morrison and Harlee Dean as his preferred options at centre-back, with Roberts often having to settle for a place on the bench.

He surely won't be content with that again next season, therefore a summer move could happen.

The midfielder is another who has struggled for game time under Monk and perhaps doesn't have the technical quality to play the way the manager wants.

Given his struggles to get in the team it's highly unlikely that he will get a new contract with his current deal up in the summer.

That means Blues fans could've already seen the last of Lowe at St. Andrew's.
