Garry Monk has a huge job on his hands as he looks to take his new-look side Middlesbrough back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The former Leeds United boss has got some big expectations to fill at the Riverside and it's clear to some supporters in the North East that nothing less than promotion will do after a summer filled with transfer activity.

Of course, the high-profile signing of Britt Assombalonga has grabbed most of the headlines but Boro have done other transfer deals too, most of which have been pushed to the side a little after the former Forest man was brought in.

And there's one man we at the FLW think could play a massive part in Boro's push for the top-six this season and that's new signing Martin Braithwaite.

The Danish international striker made the move from Ligue 1 earlier this summer for a pretty hefty £9million but there is little known about the pacy striker here in England, apart from the handful of people who really tracked his progress in France.

He scored forty goals in just under 150 appearances for Toulouse which might not seem groundbreaking in the slightest but it's everything else he used to offer his team that increased his stock market value.

He's a man with incredible pace which, when it comes to off-the-ball running, seriously helps out his fellow forwards. He's direct, has a fair bit of skill and is quite capable of playing out-wide if needs be too.

Of course, Assombalonga is expected to be the main goal getter for Boro over the coming weeks and months but there's every chance Braithwaite will chip in with a healthy number too.

He might not be that well known in England just yet but he's certainly a name to keep an eye on over the course of the season.
