With Newcastle United set to be competing in the top flight again, Rafa Benitez is keen to add some quality players to his squad.

The Magpies will want to avoid another relegation to the Championship at all costs and next season will be primarily about consolidation.

Rafa Benitez is ready for a heavy summer of spending as he aims to revamp his squad with a major reshuffle of personnel.

This involves selling plenty of substandard players and bringing in quality replacements.

The Spaniard is looking to reshuffle his options at centre back.

Jamaal Lascelles and Ciaran Clark will probably stay but one or both of Chancel Mbemba and Grant Hanley will be shown the exit door.

If both leave, Newcastle will need to add two top players to replace them.

One starlet they should be looking at is Calum Chambers.

The Arsenal youngster is out of favour at the Emirates but was one of the standout performers for Middlesbrough this season in the Premier League.

Perhaps if the 22-year-old was fit all season, Boro would have avoided the drop.

Chambers is calm and collected and already has 81 Premier League appearances under his belt, despite his young age.

The former Southampton academy product could benefit from leaving Arsenal permanently to kick-start his career elsewhere and Newcastle would be an ideal destination for him to learn and develop.

The occasional England international is tipped to be a future star and his talent at the back is exactly what Newcastle need going into this Premier League season.
