It's coming to that part of the calendar year when half the players in today's game are amongst the merry-go-round that are transfer rumours and one move usually leads to another.

With Nottingham Forest having a sluggish campaign, they will obviously be linked with a few footballers across the divisions and one who has predominately hit the headlines for a likely arrival is £850,000-rated League One midfielder Bradley Dack, but would it be a wise decision to bring the 23 year-old to the City Ground?

The Gillingham star-man was making a name for himself in the 2015/16 campaign as being the stand-out player in the club's promotion push, which eventually fell to pieces - coinciding with Dack's injury on the sidelines.

He was rightly awarded the division's Player of the Year by the Football League following his eye-catching form; thirteen goals and ten assists in the league for that season which would be enough to earn anyone a move.

However, the Gills somehow were able to keep hold of their starlet and would go into the 2016/17 term with him in the team, although, he has struggled to recapture the performances which saw the club reject bids from Bristol City for his services.

Bradley Dack has only bagged five and provided seven assists in the last ten months, meaning the form he once had was only temporary and that is why Mark Warburton shouldn't go in for him.

The ex-Charlton Athletic youth has also got a dissent problem, receiving eight yellow cards and two sending offs this season - both incidents where he was given his marching orders were vastly avoidable.

I agree that League One talent has gone in Nottingham Forest's favour, mainly the acquisition of Zach Clough but if the boss wants to overhaul the squad then the money needs to be spent wisely and signing Dack would be defeating the objective of a promotion push.

Forest supporters, would it be a mistake to obtain Bradley Dack? Or should be become a player at the club? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below!
