Leeds United will have welcomed the international break as it gave them a chance to get some of their injured stars back to fitness.

And, that has been the case, with Kemar Roofe, Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez all available for the Whites trip to Blackburn this afternoon.

Whilst Roofe is a massive player for the team and Berardi will give them much-needed defensive cover, the biggest boost will be having the classy Hernandez back on the pitch.

The Spaniard is the man who controls the tempo and unlocks defences for Marcelo Bielsa's side and his influence cannot be underestimated.

He has always been a good player, but his game has gone up a level under the Argentinian who demands a fast, attacking game that suits the technically-gifted 32-year-old.

Prior to his injury, Hernandez had scored three and made two in five games, highlighting his productivity.

He is given license to roam and he is key in the Whites dominating possession against most teams but he combines that with a cutting edge that makes them so dangerous.

Yet, his contribution is greater than what he does on the ball.

His ability to find space and intelligence means that the opposition will be wary of his capabilities and will work on plans to ensure he is restricted as much as possible.

In turn, that gives the likes of Ezgjan Alioski and particularly Samuel Saiz, more freedom and time to get on the ball which helps the team.

Bielsa has created a superb team that plays exciting football and he will be delighted to have one of the central figures behind that back against Blackburn as they look to rediscover the early-season form that blew the Championship away.
