Queens Park Rangers could likely have a major squad overhaul in the summer as manager Ian Holloway aims to bring the good days back to Loftus Road, but this man in particular needs to be persuaded to remain.

Following reports on Saturday afternoon that 20 year-old Ryan Manning is attracting interest from the Premier League, Rangers need to try their absolute best to ensure he stays at the club next season.

The midfielder has broken into the first-team since Holloway's appointment in November, and has become an influential member of the starting eleven despite the lacklustre performances throughout the last eight or so months.

Manning has been a bright spark in a particularly dismal campaign in west London and is a promising figure head at QPR for years to come.

However, if they want to keep hold of the Republic of Ireland under-21 international then a new lucrative contract on the table wouldn't go amiss.

His current deal doesn't expire until the summer of 2019 but a fresh signature could persuade him away from a potential switch to the top-flight.

There's no doubt that Ian Holloway will be aiming for the play-offs next season and Ryan Manning needs to be reminded of that, if he stays in the capital then Premier League football could be on the horizon anyway.

He needs to be reminded of the benefits of club loyalty, a rare feature in the modern game, and could reap the rewards if the attacking midfielder decides against a move away from Loftus Road.

Also, at such a young age there is still plenty of room for improvement which could make Manning the first name on the team sheet, rather than sitting on the bench week-in, week-out in a division up.
