Leeds United surrendered top spot in the Championship at the weekend, following a 1-1 draw with promotion rivals Brentford.

Sheffield United had took all three points against Hull City to go top, a point clear of West Brom and two points clear of Leeds in third.

Leeds came from behind after Neal Maupay converted a penalty for the Bees on 62 mins, only for Pontus Jansson to head an equaliser for Leeds on 88 mins.

So on reflection should Leeds be happy with a point against Brentford?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

Considering they had ten men and are still without key players through injury, I would say they should be pleased with a point.

Especially after going a goal down, too.

It showed fight and you could see by Marcelo Bielsa’s reaction that he was relieved to have got a point too.

Gary Hutchinson

Absolutely, why not?

Brentford were the favourites for the division earlier in the season, albeit briefly.

Leeds got a decent result there with a depleted squad.

Not a bad effort at all.

George Harbey

I can imagine there would have been an element of both relief and frustration after the draw against Brentford for Leeds fans.

Looking back on the game, Brentford really shouldn’t have been given a penalty, but Leeds didn’t really create too many chances, therefore a point was arguably fair and they should be somewhat pleased.

Jacob Potter

I would say more relieved than happy.

The draw means that they have only won two of their last seven league games which will be a concern for Bielsa but they have the international break now to focus on recapturing their best form when they return to league action.
