Wolves have made Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro both available for transfer, according to Express & Star.

The news will be warmly greeted by Leeds fans, as the Yorkshire club have shown a firm interest in Costa, with The Sun reporting last week that a loan signing was being looked at.

Leeds have been chasing a winger all summer, with Jack Harrison, Callum O'Dowda and Brandon Barker all reportedly to have been on Leeds' radar at some point since the end of the season.

Both did superbly well in that season, Costa scored five and assisted six in 36 league appearances, whilst Cavaleiro contributed with nine goals and 12 assists in 42 league matches.

They would certainly provide Leeds with pace and power on the wings, and would be a real threat against any Championship defence, so should they try and sign both?

Here's what our writers think about that prospect:

Louie Chandler

"I don't see why not.

"Leeds definitely need some more depth on the wings and if they can bring in two proven Championship players at once then why not?

"I think it would be better for Leeds to target permanent signings but I still think this could work."

Toby Wilding

"I'm not convinced they need both.

"They're two similar players, and they are unlikely to come cheap, even in terms of wages if they are to come on loan.

"It would make more sense to me for them to focus on one, and spend the money they might have put towards the other on strengthening in another area of the pitch."

Jacob Potter

"It's certainly worth a try.

"Leeds need depth in attacking areas, and signing Cavalerio and Costa would be the best move for both parties.

"It could see Pablo Hernandez move into a more suited, CAM role in Bielsa's starting XI, and with Costa and Cavaleiro potentially either side of them, they will be a huge threat going forward."

George Harbey

"Why not go for both?

"If they are affordable, then there is no reason why they shouldn’t.

"Both players have proven to be quality players in the Championship with Wolves, and will definitely improve Leeds going forward.

"Bielsa needs new wingers, so why not go all out to sign this pair?"
