After falling into the third tier of English football in 2015, Millwall fans will be ready for a return to the Championship.

Play-off heartbreak last season would have killed many clubs, with former League One Play-Off finalists, Leyton Orient, falling out of the Football League this past week.

Unlike their neighbours in east London, Millwall have come back strong again this year.

The Lions are one win away from another crack at the play-offs, and a win at Bristol Rovers this weekend will secure a top 6 finish.

Millwall will hope for a result, or slip ups from play-offs rivals, Southend and Rochdale.

A play-off berth may have been secured earlier if the side from The Den had been more clinical in front of goal.

The Lions have the second worst attacking record in the top ten, and Neil Harris will look to add firepower to his squad over the summer to bolster their attacking threat.

One player Harris should consider is Luton Town’s, Cameron McGeehan.

22-year-old McGeehan was born in London, but after his release from Chelsea’s academy, spent two years in East Anglia with Norwich City’s youngsters.

A first team bow eluded the youngster, and several loan spells followed, before a permanent switch to the Hatters in 2015.

It is at Kenilworth Road where the midfielder has flourished.

Ten league goals from midfield has fired Luton to fourth in League Two, and the team have all but secured a playoff berth.

McGeehan has a proven record, and goals from midfield would add a new dimension to Millwall going forward.

If Neil Harris can convince the youngster a move back to London is the right move for him, then fans at The Den will have a lot to look forward to next season from the young star.
