Leeds United travel to Blackburn for the early Championship game of the day today, with the Whites hoping for a victory that will take them top for at least a few hours.

The international break came at the right time for Marcelo Bielsa's men after a slight dip in form that saw them drop out of the top two.

However, it's no coincidence that those results came with several key players missing.

And, whilst Leeds will be without Luke Ayling and Barry Douglas at Ewood Park, they will welcome back key attacking duo Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe.

The Spaniard seems sure to come back into the XI with Jack Harrison out but it's not as clear cut with Roofe.

That's because his replacement, Tyler Roberts, has performed very well and has three goals in six Championship appearances so far this season.

Given that, some are of the belief that he hasn't done anything to warrant losing the shirt but it's vital for the Whites that Roofe starts.

Even though Roberts has done well, quite simply, the former Oxford man is a better option, and we shouldn't forget that he had four goals in six games before his injury.

His relentless work-rate sets the tone for the whole team and he is the first line of the press for Bielsa, which is vital in the setup.

As well as that, Roofe's link-up play is better than the young Wales international's, which will suit the likes of Hernandez and Samuel Saiz who look to increase the tempo in the final third with quick play.

Ultimately, whilst Roberts has proven himself to be a good player, Bielsa needs to be ruthless at Ewood Park.

Leeds were flying with Roofe in the team and his qualities not only provide a real goal threat, but they bring the best out of his attacking teammates.
