It has taken some time, but talented Leeds United left back Charlie Taylor finally looks set to depart Elland Road with his contract expiring in a weeks' time.

Both West Brom and Burnley are battling it out for Taylor's signature meaning new Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen will be forced to look for another left back ahead of the new Championship season, which begins on August 4.

Mark Warburton's Forest are another team in the market for a left back this summer, with the Reds reportedly keen to add Queens Park Rangers defender Jake Bidwell to the ranks, according to respected Times journalist Gary Jacob.

But with Leeds also in the market, there is no reason as to why they should not rival Warburton's side for the signature of Bidwell if he is available.

The 24-year-old continues to be one of the strongest and most accomplished left backs in the league, capable of joining in on attacks and whipping in crosses with his left foot, and he could be the perfect Taylor replacement at Elland Road.

Whether or not Leeds boss Christiansen chooses to find a left back abroad remains to be seen, but if Bidwell is available for a good price, then he could be a good coup for the Whites as they look to once again battle near the upper echelons of the Championship table next term.
