It's no secret that Leeds United are mounting a serious challenge towards promotion to the Premier League and there aren't any serious signs to suggest that they could suffer their annual dip in form.

Marcelo Bielsa has got the team drilled to perfection this season and they are rightfully challenging for an automatic promotion spot in the early stages of this season.

That promising start has largely been down to the form shown by striker Kemar Roofe, who has already netted seven goals in the Championship this season.

Recent speculation has suggested that the in-form striker could be heading for the exit door at Elland Road in the near future, though, with Premier League clubs circling.

However, the perfect replacement could be waiting for Leeds in the form of a Arsenal youngster, who would be after regular first-team football.

Eddie Nketiah is yet to feature for Unai Emery's side this season in the Premier League, and at the age of 19, he will certainly be after regular first-team football.

Nketiah scored his first senior goals for Arsenal in an EFL Cup game against Norwich City earlier this season, with other opportunities coming in Europe.

But, with Nketiah not having made a league appearance this season, he is likely to be in search of a loan move elsewhere to further his development.

If he moved to Leeds then it would be the perfect move for the youngster, who could thrive under the guidance of Bielsa. The Argentine has already shown that he can get the best out of young talent such as Jack Harrison and Jack Clarke.

Nketiah would most likely arrive on a loan deal, so it would definitely be a deal that would be financially doable for Leeds, and they should certainly be looking into the loan market to secure a deal for the Arsenal youngster.

The striker's pace, power and raw talent would be a gamble in the Championship, but it would be a gamble that would pay off for the promotion-chasing side.
