Queens Park Rangers sit comfortably in mid-table after fears that the club may be dragged into a relegation scrap were quelled, there is now time to reflect and ask questions about the club's transfer policy this season.

Two hectic transfer windows, one under the management of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, the other under the management of Ian Holloway has seen a number of arrivals and departures at Loftus Road this season.

The sheer number of incomings and outgoings show that there is still a hangover from Queens Park Rangers relegation from the Premier League, as the club looks to recover from the aftermath of relegation.

Any remaining remnants of Queens Park Ranger's Premier League side were finally cleared out of the squad over the past two transfer windows.

With such a high volume of transfer activity, there will be some regrets about players who were sold who have gone on to thrive for their new club.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at TWO players who have really thrived after leaving Queens Park Rangers...

Sebastian Polter

Following an unsuccessful spell in England at Queens Park Rangers, Sebastian Polter returned to Germany in the January transfer window, joining 2. Bundesliga side Union Berlin.

Sebastian Polter's form has been particularly prolific having scored three times and provided three assists in just six matches for Union Berlin.

Having scored just four times for Queens Park Rangers this season, Sebastian Polter has already almost scored the same amount of goals for Union Berlin, despite playing fourteen games less.

Having directly contributed to a goal in some way in every match so far, he has proved to be one of the signings of the January transfer window in Germany's second flight.

Since leaving Queens Park Rangers, Sebastian Polter has thrived as Polter has looked unrecognisable to the player who struggled to adapt in England.

Matt Phillips

One of the surprise breakthrough stars in the Premier League this season has been Scottish winger Matt Phillips, who joined West Bromwich Albion from Queens Park Rangers in the summer.

The 25-year-old winger has been part of a West Bromwich Albion side which has defied the odds this season as they sit eighth in the Premier League table, secure from relegation already.

One of the crucial members of West Brom's side this season has been Matt Phillips who has four times and provided eight assists in just 24 Premier League matches.

Although Matt Phillips is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, he has still been one of West Bromwich Albion's best players so far this season.

After leaving Queens Park Rangers for the Premier League, very few would've predicted Matt Phillips to thrive as much as he has at West Brom.
