Leeds United have had a pretty dismal season and attention has already turned to what the club can do to ensure they are competing for a play-off spot in 12 months’ time.

It’s pretty clear that Paul Heckingbottom needs to strengthen significant areas of the Whites squad, with the spine of the team particularly weak.

One key addition could be Kortney Hause from Wolves.

The talented former England U21 centre-back has struggled to win a place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side but it’s purely down to the competition he has in front of him.

Willy Boly, arguably the best defender in the league, is Wanderers’ left-sided centre-back which has restricted Hause to cup games this season once he returned from injury.

With promotion to the Premier League seemingly inevitable, it’s hard to envisage the ex-Gillingham man getting a game with further additions likely.

Therefore, a move is sure to happen and Leeds need to make sure they’re at the front of the queue.

Hause is quick, strong and would bring balance to the back four as he is left-footed and could form a formidable partnership with Pontus Jansson.

Additionally, at just 22-years old he has time to develop and fits the profile for the sort of player that Leeds have been looking to bring in in the past two transfer windows.

Another positive factor for any buying club is that Hause only has one year left on his deal at Molineux in the summer so he may be relatively cheap.
