Birmingham City are up to ninth in the Championship following their third win on the bounce, that sees them unbeaten in 10 following the 2-1 win over Reading at St Andrew's.

Garry Monk's side are now only six points off leaders Middlesbrough and with another promotion challenger in Sheffield Wednesday the opposition at the weekend, there is the chance to make further in-roads into the league's pace-setters.

So have Birmingham got a real chance of a top six finish?

We discuss.....

If they can keep up this impressive run of form, then it’s certainly a possibility.

They are unbeaten in their last ten games and after their comfortable win over Reading last night, Monk’s side will be full of confidence going into the weekends set of fixtures.

If they are to finish in the top six, then it will be down to the good form shown by Che Adams and Lukas Jutkiewicz who have been in excellent form lately.

Alfie Burns

Their situation reminds me of what Monk did at Leeds a couple of seasons ago.

Birmingham started slowly, but now they’re looking good and well placed to challenge.

Defensively they're sound, so if the strikers can maintain this level of form, I don’t see why not.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, they must have.

They’ve got a decent squad, the reason they’re in the FFP trouble is overspending on many of the players they have now.

Monk has got them playing, but he was always going to.

He’s a good manager, they’re good players, why can’t they challenge?

Jay Taylor

They have only lost once this season it is just the amount of draws that could cost them.

If Garry Monk is able to turn more of those draws into wins, they certainly have a chance.

The Birmingham boss has organised the Blues and made them difficult to beat.

And as mentioned, if they can turn more draws into wins, then there is every chance of them finishing in the top six.
