Big news broke from Nottingham Forest today when it was revealed that manager Aitor Karanka had handed in his resignation at the club.
The Spaniard took over just over a year ago, arriving on January 8, 2018, after the sacking of Mark Warburton, but has today asked to leave his role as Forest boss after days of talks with the Forest owners.
The Reds currently sit in seventh place, just four points behind arch-rivals Derby County who occupy the final play-off spot but have won just once in their last six.
It is believed that the Karanka and the board did not see eye-to-eye on a number of issues and the hunt will now commence to find his replacement.

A Tweet sent by journalist Daniel Storey sums up the situation at the City Ground pretty well, showing that Forest have changed their manager every year since 2011.
It was a stat that nearly every Forest fan will have been aware of but seeing it laid out as such seemed to give it that bit more impact.
Here is how they reacted…
And they said we weren’t stable!…. can’t be more consistent than that ????

This sort of thing contributes to the outside perception that the club is a mess when it’s really not anymore.

The role of manager is pretty much obsolete. Waiting for the first club to just have a team of coaches and a couple of tacticians in the stand. The hiring and firing process is damaging and pointless.

Wow, to repeat the same course of action so many times means that it must be super successful. I, for one, have enjoyed our many promotions over this period.

Consistency is the key though…..????????

My club is a joke, it's poisonous to any manager who comes in, who would want this job?

Eat….sleep….sack the manager….repeat
