Barnsley have completed the signing of Wimbledon's Toby Sibbick, with the defender signing a four-year deal at Oakwell.

The Tykes have lost key centre-back pair Liam Lindsay and Ethan Pinnock already this window, so finding new players was imperative and the Yorkshire side have swooped quickly to sign Sibbick, with the deal confirmed on their official site last night.

Capable of playing right-back as well in the heart of the defence, the 20-year-old is very highly-rated and established himself as a regular for the Dons for much of 2019.

And, his addition to the team made a real difference, with the side having a very strong end to the campaign which saw them stay in League One against all odds.

Despite that, it's fair to say that news of Sibbick's signing left plenty of fans underwhelmed, although that's perhaps because it came just hours after they had confirmed the departure of Pinnock to Brentford.

Here's some of the reaction to his arrival on Twitter...
