Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Dejan Stojanovic.

The 26-year-old arrives at the Riverside Stadium for an undisclosed fee after signing a three-and-a-half year deal.

But what do we know about the goalkeeper?

Dejan Stojanovic was born on July 19 1993 and is an Austrian-born Macedonian under-21 international.

He started his career with Austrian second division side Lustenau 07 where he made he made his debut and established himself as the club's number one goalkeeper in 2010-11.

After his debut season Stojanovic completed a move to Italy with Serie B side Bologna for a six-figure fee.

The Macedonian was tipped as a bright prospect for the future as he moved to the Italian side at the age of 18, and continued his development with Bologna's youth side during his first season with the club.

Stojanovic made 12 appearances for Bologna as they yo-yo'd between Serie A and Serie B, before spending six months on loan with Italian second tier side Crotone.

The goalkeeper's career had stalled somewhat with Bologna and so in the summer of 2016 Stojanovic completed a free transfer back to Austria to join St Gallen in the Swiss Super League.

It was another slow start for the 'keeper in Switzerland where he made just six appearances in his first season and 17 in his second season with the club.

However in the 2018-19 season Stojanovic established himself as a first team regular where he made 39 appearances and conceded 57.

He continued that form for St Gallen this term where he's played 19 games already this term.

Making a move to the Championship is big step for the 26-year-old who failed to impress during his time in Italy, but he'll be hoping that the experience of that spell - and the increased time playing first team football - will help him adapt to life with Middlesbrough and challenging for the number one jersey.
