The Steel City derby is one of the most passionate and hotly contested rivalries in England and despite the fact that the Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United haven't faced each other since 2012, it is still very much prominent in the city of Sheffield.

Both sides have had their fair share of ups and downs in recent years as there has been plenty of drama at both Hillsborough Stadium and Bramall Lane.

And both sides have stadiums capable of accommodating in excess of 30,000 fans on a match day.

However, what we want to know is, which stadium houses the best set of home fans? This is no doubt a heavily debated issue in the Yorkshire city as both sets of fans will argue that they are louder than other during a home game.

Both sides have boasted similar attendances this season, with both of the club's highest gates this season being just over 23,000. And despite the fact that Sheffield United remain a League One side - one league lower than their local rivals - they have almost matched the Championship side in regards to home crowds.

But it is more than just about the numbers that pack into either one of the stadiums on a match day. It's also about the noise created and the variety of songs and chants that can spur a side onto victory.
