Who has better away fans: Leeds United or Derby County?

Published

Despite the fact that the Sky Bet Championship is the second-tier of English football, the away fans across the league are a great advertisement for arguably the most competitive league in the UK.

And Leeds United and Derby County fans are no exception to that rule as they continue to take great numbers all across the country to their away games.

There are plenty of teams in the Championship that would argue they have the best away support in the league as teams consistently manage to attract in excess of 2000 away fans per game, despite some of the distances fans have to travel.

But there’s no doubt that Leeds United and Derby County have particularly good away followings. Leeds United recently had the support of over 6000 away fans at MK Dons in a game that they came out 2-1 winners. The support of their fans will have certainly spurred their team on to victory.

Whether you judge the quality of away fans by their numbers, noise or variety of chants, these two clubs are up there when considering how good their fans are away from home.
