Oxford United have completed the signing of Birmingham City left-back Steve Seddon.

The 23-year-old has ended a seven-year spell with The Blues and now heads to last season's League play-off semi-finalists for an undisclosed fee.

Seddon made 11 first-team appearances for the Midlands club after arriving from Reading's academy in 2014. The 23-year-old embarked on loan spells with Stevenage and Wimbledon, before making his first-team debut at Birmingham.

The young full-back assisted Birmingham's winner against Brentford on the opening day of the 2019/2020, concluding a very memorable debut for Seddon.

In the second half of the 2019/20 season, Seddon was loaned out to Portsmouth,  and he made 12 appearances and scored a goal as Portsmouth narrowly missed out on promotion.

Seddon then spent the first half of last season back at a very similar setting in Wimbledon. He marked his second debut with a goal that turned out to be the match-winner in a 1-0 victory at Fleetwood.

Seddon started five of the last six fixtures at Birmingham as the season concluded, but with the club now moving in a new direction, he will be heading for pastures new.

With the news of Seddon's departure, we take a look at how some Birmingham fans have reacted to the news...
