Manchester United's Scott McTominay is a wanted man, with Leeds United and Aston Villa potentially handed a green light for the midfielder's signature in January.

The Scottish international has become somewhat of a forgotten man at Old Trafford despite being crowned Jose Mourinho's Player of the Season last term, after a string of impressive performances in the top flight last season.

Marcelo Bielsa's men have won just one of their last four games, and will be looking to secure some new additions in January to inject some life into the Leeds squad, who sit third in the table after twelve league games.

Here, we discuss whether McTominay would be a good signing for Leeds...

Gary Hutchinson

Absolutely - he's been on the edges of the United side and is rated highly there.

Where would he play? That is the question.

Would Bielsa drop Phillips? I can't see that.

George Harbey
Although McTominay would be a very good signing, where would he fit into Bielsa's plans? I can't see him changing from his 4-1-4-1 system after it working for a large part of the season, nor can I see Kalvin Phillips being dropped after a very impressive season. McTominay is too good to be a back-up option, so it will be very interesting to see how this develops.
Jacob Potter
McTominay would provide good competition and would add depth into the midfield that has been pivotal in their good performances this season.
But I'm not sure he would currently start in this Leeds side, given the strong performances shown this season.
