It was reported yesterday by TeamTalk that Wolves are willing to spend £20 million to ensure Leo Bonatini does not move elsewhere at the end of his loan spell.

The top scorer in the league, the Brazilian striker has had a good campaign so far this season for the men from Molineux and fans should be excited about such a story.

Would they be better of spending the money elsewhere, though? We have our say...

Sam Rourke

Where else do they need to strengthen?

Wolves don't have an abundance of natural strikers and Bonatini is one who is excelling, so spending the money on a striker is essential.

£20m is pricey, but goals cost a lot of money these days, and Bonatini is an expert at hitting the back of the net.

Alfie Burns

If Wolves had the option to buy Bonatini or Diogo Jota in January, you would imagine they would go for the latter, but if they can get both it will be a huge boost.

Jota has to be Wolves’ priority, as there is the most chance of a Premier League club poaching him at the end of his loan move, but Bonatini will have his admirers.

The £20m reported for Bonatini is ridiculous, and if Wolves are looking to sign him permanently, they really shouldn’t be paying over £10m.

Chris Gallagher

Well, they shouldn't spend £20m on the Brazilian striker.

However, there's no rush on this as he is on-loan at Wolves for the season.

If the reported £5m agreed fee is correct, Wolves should snap him up ASAP. If it's £20m as has also been suggested, then they should look elsewhere.

They should wait until the summer and re-evaluate. If they're in the Premier League they might be looking at a new level of player altogether.

Adam Simeoni

No, not at all. Wolves need a 25-30 goal a season man, and have it in Leo Bonatini.

I am sure the club will be promoted this season barring a complete and total collapse, and Bonatini will continue his exploits in the Premier League.

£20 million is a huge sum yes, but for what Wolves are getting it is certainly money well spent. They just need to get promoted this season and then they can turn their attentions to other areas, and Bonatini is certainly a player with the ability to drag them over the line.
