It was looking like another crack at the play-offs for Nottingham Forest as the end of the 2007/08 campaign approached, having fallen at the semi-final stage the year previous to Yeovil Town.
Five wins from the last six games, however, saw the Reds overturn several points on Doncaster Rovers and Carlisle United, to go up as runners-up behind Swansea City who won the league at a canter.
It was somewhat ironic that the Reds beat Yeovil on the final day of the campaign to secure their promotion; just 12 months after the Glovers had overturned a two-goal first leg deficit to reach the Play-Off Final at Wembley.
The 3-2 win led to pandemonium among the Forest supporters and ended a three season stay in the third tier of English football for the East Midlands-based club.
