After failing to make an impact at Nottingham Forest last season, Nuno da Costa was one of many players to leave the City Ground in the summer.

Da Costa was brought in from RC Strasbourg in January, as Forest looked to provide cover for Lewis Grabban following Rafa Mir's return to parent club Wolves.

Most of Da Costa's game time under Sabri Lamouchi came as a winger, though, with the forward making 10 appearances last season.

The Cape Verdean forward struggled to make an impact, though, and his only goal came on the final day of the season - finding the wrong net.

Warburton? Karanka? Who was the Nottingham Forest manager when each of these 15 Forest moments happened?

He scored an own-goal in the 4-1 home defeat to Stoke City, and after featuring three times this season, he was sent out on loan in October.

Da Costa joined Royal Excel Mouscron on loan, with the Belgian side holding the option to make the deal permanent.

It has been a bitterly disappointing start to the season for Mouscron, though. They sit bottom of the table, after winning only one of their first 12 league games.

Da Costa has made four appearances for Mouscron, scoring once. That goal came in a 4-1 defeat to Genk less than a fortnight ago.

He has been playing as an out-and-out centre-forward for Mouscron, despite playing out on the right for most of his time at the City Ground.

If he does end up helping Mouscron turn their season around, then there's every chance the Belgian side will sign him for good.
