West Bromwich Albion are not having the best of transfer windows after coming so close to winning promotion straight back to the Premier League.

Since the Baggies were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by Aston Villa, centre-back Craig Dawson and striker Jay Rodriguez have both been sold as well as star loanee Dwight Gayle returning to Newcastle for good.

Only one new face has come in in the form of attacking midfielder Fillip Krovinovic, but hopes of a cash injection were raised once again on Monday when it was revealed that Salomon Rondon was closing in on a move to Chinese club Dalian Yifang - where Rafa Benitez now resides.

Sky Sports News broke the story, saying negotiations with the player were now underway with a fee having been agreed by the two clubs.

Rondon has a release clause of £16.5million according to the report but it is not yet known whether that has been met or whether the Baggies have accepted a lower offer.

Regardless, the fans made their feelings towards the news heard with some laying down demands to the board...
