Stuart Dallas has been discussing Ian Poveda’s first few days as a Leeds United player, stating that he has fitted in very well in his new surroundings at Elland Road.

Leeds moved to bring Poveda on board on Friday evening, with the Manchester City youngster agreeing a permanent move to Elland Road and committing to a contract until 2024.

And, with no Championship game for Leeds in the weekend gone by, the 19-year-old has had a couple of days to get to grips with Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

As quoted by The Athletic’s Phil Hay, Dallas confirmed that Poveda had been terrorising him in a session of Bielsa’s famous ‘murderball’.

QUIZ: Can you name every Leeds United player’s shirt number?

“He's fast and direct. He's fitted in really well. It's good because I haven't seen a player take to a group as well as he's taken to us. I'm being serious. He's lively.

"We did the murderball session last week and I was up against him. I found out how quick he was."

That insight, combined with the signing of Poveda and Jean-Kevin Augustin, has really helped to lift spirits with the Elland Road fanbase, with many flooding with positive replies.
