Sunderland had to come from two goals down against Walsall on Saturday afternoon, but managed to claw back a 2-2 draw thanks to a last-minute Lynden Gooch goal.

The finish sparked jubilant scenes in front of the club's travelling fans with many spilling onto the pitch as emotions ran high.

Luke O'Nien, who was brought on as a substitute in the second half, got slightly carried away himself as he crashed into a fan rather deliberately during the wild celebrations.

Sharing the clip to his Twitter account, the Irishman joked that he 'definitely got the ball before the man'.

It was a goal that maintained the Black Cats' spot in the top two of the third tier and extended their unbeaten league run to 10 games.

But the dropped points did mean that table-toppers, Portsmouth, were able to increase their lead at the top thanks to a 2-1 win away to Scunthorpe United, giving them a four-point cushion.

After seeing the hilarious clip, however, many fans found it difficult to care about the lost ground...
