Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Manchester City goalkeeper Arijanet Muric on a season-long loan, the club has confirmed.

The 20-year-old will spend the 2019/20 season at the City Ground after penning a three-year extension to his City contract prior to the move.

Muric established himself as Ederson's understudy at the Etihad Stadium following Claudio Bravo's injury last term, and the Kosovo international played a key part in City's successful Carabao Cup run.

The former Grasshoppers goalkeeper will now link up with former Man City goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon at Forest, where both will be pushing for the number one jersey.

The Forest Twitter account shared an image of the pair training together on Tuesday afternoon following confirmation of Muric's arrival:

Plenty of Forest fans responded to the tweet by backing Muric to claim a spot in Sabri Lamouchi's starting line-up, while others also took the opportunity to speculate what Pantilimon's plans may involve for next season.
