Luciano Becchio has been the latest casualty of Norwich's promotion and the Argentinian is now a free agent and looking for a new club to regain his goal scoring form.

There's no doubt that the move from Leeds to Norwich was a bad move for both parties, with Norwich not utilising Becchio's potential and the goal scoring form he was on, and Leeds receiving a subpar Steve Morison who has become a cult hero at the club for his lack of goals and 'shift-like' performances.

Becchio is now 31, and has struggled with injuries and form at Norwich, only making 13 appearances for the East Anglian side.

Prior to his move to Norwich, Becchio was on red hot form at Leeds United back in 2013, with 18 goals to his name. At nearly 6'2 and built like an ox, the former Barca B player is fantastic at holding up the ball and is a fantastic target man who can turn a long ball into an opportunity to score.

With bags of Championship experience, Becchio could be a fantastic signing for the newly promoted sides in the league, with Bristol City and MK Dons both looking to bring in a new top scorer after losing the loan pair of Matt Smith and Benik Afobe.

Another option for Becchio would be to link up with former boss and teammate Jermaine Beckford and Simon Grayson. With Beckford set to sign on a free transfer to Preston, Becchio could follow suit and create a deadly partnership that plagued the Championship years ago.

Another emotional return could be a return to former club Leeds United, with Becchio being a big fan of the club and adored by the fans at Elland Road.

This move seems very unlikely as Leeds United had the opportunity to sign Becchio on loan in January but club owner Massimo Cellino decided to bring in waste of cash Edgar Cani, citing that he did not rate Becchio and wanted better options.

Other clubs could look to bring in Becchio, with former loan club Rotherham United currently needing a striker.

Wherever Becchio ends up, there will be a lot of hard work to regain the form he used to have and a major fitness regime to keep the Argentine fit. But if time is invested in him, Becchio will be back in the goals within weeks.
