Ben White has been attracting plenty of attention in recent weeks, and it's easy to see why.

The Leeds United defender, who is currently on a season-long loan deal from Brighton, has been a revelation since moving to Elland Road over the summer.

The 22-year-old has been a virtual ever-present for Marcelo Bielsa's side this term having missed just 45 minutes of action in the Championship.

Due to his impressive form, White has been the subject of interest from both Manchester United and Liverpool who are said to be keen on making a move for the talented defender next summer.

That interest is no surprise based on his performance against Luton Town.

According to Whoscored, White attempted 102 passes against the Hatters and completed an impressive 91 of them. His tally of 102 was higher than any player in the Championship.

Not to mention his 100% tackle success and aerial duel win rate.

Such a strong performance didn't go unnoticed by head coach Marcelo Bielsa who said that Ben White's impact was 'obvious'.

As quoted by Leeds Live, Bielsa said: "You can say nothing about that because it's easy to value what White did. It's obvious.

"It was a great, brilliant resolution that is a way to describe how football is going. The attackers defend and the defenders are also involved in the building of the attack.

"It's not normal that one centre-back give these kind of passes Ben White did."

The verdict

Ben White is getting better week after week for Leeds United.

His impressive performances for Marcelo Bielsa's side has established his place as one of the most complete defenders in the Championship - something that will be crucial to the Yorkshire side's promotion hopes.

One thing is for sure, if White keeps improving at this rate then it could get more and more difficult to Leeds United to consider a permanent move for him next summer.
