It's safe to say that Reading midfielder Michael Olise has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the Royals this term under the management of Veljko Paunovic.

The 18-year-old has made ten appearances in all competitions for the Berkshire-based side, whilst chipping in with two goals and three assists so far this season.

Olise has certainly played his part in Reading's strong start to the season, with Paunovic's side currently sat top of the Championship table after their opening nine matches of this year's campaign.

It appears as though Olise's strong showings this term haven't gone unnoticed though, with TEAMtalk reporting that Liverpool and Chelsea have no entered the race to land his signature.

It is also claimed that Manchester City, Everton, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and AS Monaco are all keen on a deal to sign the midfielder in the near future.

Leeds United and Arsenal have also been interested in signing Olise earlier in the summer transfer window, although a move to either club materialised.

Olise has 18 months remaining on his current contract at the Madejski Stadium, and he'll be set for an interesting few months ahead, with it being clear that he's unlikely to be short on offers heading towards the New Year.

Olise has previously been on the books with Chelsea and Manchester City, and he could be in line to return to one of the teams that he spent his youth career with. The youngster has wasted no time in making his mark in the Reading first-team, having come through the club's academy ranks not so long ago.

It's unclear as to whether Olise has had his head turned by any speculation linking him with a move elsewhere, but you would imagine that he'll be keen to continue to impress in the Championship with Reading until any formal bid has been made.

That hasn't happened as of yet, although that could could change as we edge closer to the January transfer window, where clubs will be looking to strengthen their squads.

For now though, Olise will be focused on putting in strong performances for Reading, starting with a positive showing against Preston North End on Wednesday evening.
