Reading defender Liam Moore has recently been linked with a move away from the Madejski Stadium according to TEAMtalk.

It is claimed that the Royals defender has been attracting interest from Wolves, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.

Moore has been with the Berkshire-based side since 2016, after signing on a four-year deal from Leicester City, and has gone on to catch the eye with a number of impressive performances in this year's campaign for the Royals.

The centre-back has made eight appearances for Veljko Paunovic's side this term, who are currently sat top of the Championship table after their opening seven matches of this year's campaign.

Reading's defence on the whole have played a key role in their strong showings this term, with Paunovic's side only conceding one goal in the second-tier this season.

Moore is clearly a key player for the Royals, with the defender remaining as the club's captain for the 2020/21 season under Paunovic's management.

It appears as though his impressive showings haven't gone unnoticed though, with Wolves, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Moore's former club Leicester City registering their interest in landing his signature.

It seems highly unlikely that Reading will be willing to listen to any offers for Moore's services anytime soon though, with the club looking at keeping their key players for the remainder of this year's campaign.

Reading have already knocked back approaches from Sheffield United for the services of John Swift, who remained at the Madejski Stadium as a move to Chris Wilder's side failed to materialise.

It seems likely that will be the case when it comes to any interest for Moore in the January transfer window, with Reading not having received any bids for the defender at this moment in time.

Moore will be focused on matters in the pitch for now, starting with looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2020/21 season when they take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Tuesday evening.
