Lincoln City midfielder Jorge Grant is a player attracting significant interest from a number of Championship clubs ahead of the January transfer window.

Grant has been a regular for the Imps since signing for them from Nottingham Forest back in 2019. The 26-year-old has made 17 appearances in total for Michael Appleton's side this term, and has chipped in with eight goals and six assists in all competitions.

Grant netted a brace against Forest Green in a 6-1 thrashing of the League Two side in the FA Cup First Round, so he's clearly not being distracted by any speculation linking him with a move away.

He's played his part in Lincoln City's impressive start to the season as well, with the Imps sat fourth in the third-tier standings.

TEAMtalk have reported that Nottingham Forest, Norwich City and Reading are all keen on signing the Lincoln midfielder in the January transfer window.

No formal bids have been submitted by the interested parties yet though, as they continue to keep tabs on the midfielder ahead of the New Year.

His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2021, so you would imagine that Lincoln will be keen to tie him down to a new deal at the earliest of opportunities, especially now that Championship clubs are keen on landing his signature.

A move to either Norwich or Reading could tempt Grant, with both clubs likely to be challenging for promotion into the Premier League this season.

Reading are sat top of the Championship table after their opening 11 matches of the 2020/21 season, although they'll be keen to turn around a poor run of form which has seen their promotion rivals close in on them.

Norwich City are one of those teams, with Daniel Farke's side third in the second-tier standings, and just a point adrift of the league-leaders.

Grant and his Lincoln City team-mates are set to return to action on Tuesday 17th November against Manchester City's Under-21s side in the EFL Trophy.
