Jason Knight's impressive performances in a Derby County shirt has earned the respect and interest of the higher division, with Premier League clubs continuing to monitor his situation at Pride Park.

Last week, The Times reported that an £8 million figure was in the conversation, funds that could certainly help out the club's current financial situation.

Back at the start of December, West Ham insider ExWHUemployee reported that the Hammers had a strong interest in the exciting attacker.

The Times' report states that both Leeds United and Burnley are interested in the 20-year-old who has recently amassed over 100 appearances for the Championship outfit.

The same report also credits Newcastle United with an interest in the creative midfielder, with the Magpies looking to ensure they remain a Premier League club in what remains of the campaign.

A Football League World exclusive added Everton, Wolves, Crystal Palace and Leicester City as other top-tier sides with an interest in the young attacker.

Operating primarily as an attacking midfielder, Knight has shown his versatility throughout this season, being deployed a little deeper in midfield, whilst also providing a threat on both wings.

The latest update in the Premier League pursuit of Knight comes from journalist Dean Jones who spoke to GiveMeSport about the 20-year-old's situation and said: “Knight doesn't actually want to leave Derby right now. So, even though it’s a good move for him, while Rooney's there, I think he's quite enjoying it.”

It remains to be seen how this might play out for the Derby youngster who is growing in influence within the early stages of his career.
