Djed Spence is fast becoming one of the Sky Bet Championship's hottest properties and there is every chance we're going to be seeing him plying his trade in the Premier League in the near enough future.

The flying wing-back has really shot to prominence during his loan spell at Nottingham Forest, arriving from Middlesbrough, to the extent that Boro fans can't believe such a move was sanctioned and Forest fans can't believe they've had the luck of getting him.

Indeed, Reds fans would surely like to keep him past this loan but the better he does the harder that task looks set to be.

Boro naturally want to keep hold of him but after he attracted more praise for his display against Arsenal in the FA Cup, that task is looking increasingly challenging to achieve.

Indeed, Football League World has been told that the Teessiders are now braced for interest in Spence in the summer window, with them looking for around £10m in terms of a fee before letting him go.

Certainly, that would be good money but for a player with the vast potential Spence has got, it could well be the case that proves to be a bargain in the years ahead for whoever gets him.

Middlesbrough may feel as though the only chance of keeping Spence is by earning promotion to the top flight this year, then, and Forest may well feel the same but, if big money from an established PL side is offered, then neither could have him for 22/23.
