Queens Park Rangers don't appear to be finished just yet in the transfer window with reports linking them to several players ahead of the two deadlines later this month.

It's been a busy window for the R's with several players coming and going and it seems as though Mark Warburton still has his eye on further signings.

Indeed, Charlie Kelman is one name that has come up in the last couple of days and here we're taking a look at the latest surrounding the young Southend star...

The Southend Echo reported first of all on Thursday that QPR had made an approach for the player and the outlet then quickly revealed that the bid had been rejected by the Essex side, too.

The Hoops have got a good record of developing young players and Ebere Eze is a prime example of what you can achieve in your career if you work hard at W12.

Indeed, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ilias Chair are also two players the club has helped along nicely and that is obviously the dream they'll be trying to sell to Kelman who, at Southend, is arguably playing at a level that he'll soon be better than given his potential.

Southend will know that, but they'll also know how important he is to their immediate future and United boss Mark Molesley has offered his take on the situation.

Quoted by the Southend Echo, he said:

"Charlie is a great talent with huge potential.

"He’s another one contracted to the football club and until I’m told otherwise we will be working our hardest with him to help him and the team improve."

Clearly, then, they'll be trying to get on with the job and hope QPR don't come back but there's certainly time for the Hoops to negotiate something.
