Andy Dawson has been entrusted to lead Hull City in the interim while the hunt goes on for a new manager at the club.

The boss has rarely managed in the game - prior to this run with the Tigers, he had only ever had two short stints filling a similar role with Scunthorpe United - but has managed to take his current side to three wins from his five games at the helm.

It marks an upturn in form somewhat for the Championship side, who parted ways with Shota Arveladze after he had a spell of five games with no wins with Hull. He did manage to lead the Tigers in the right direction at first and with the goals of Oscar Estupinan, it looked like they could be potential play-off contenders.

Hull though quickly dropped down the table and with the threat of a relegation battle at the club again, they decided to pull the trigger on Arveladze. So what is the latest on Hull and their situation with Andy Dawson?

There are some who feel that the interim boss should be given the job on a full-time basis now after the way he has handled the role and with the wins he has picked up. Even though he has a relative lack of experience, he has stood up and taken the job on well and some supporters feel he has earned a permanent contract.

However, for now, that doesn't look like it will be something that is talked about or wrapped up and instead, the Tigers will continue to operate with Dawson as an interim manager.

That is because the man himself has revealed to Hull Live that he isn't thinking about whether he will be given the job on a full-time basis or not and is instead just focused right now on delivering results for the side.

Speaking about his position then, he said: "I don't know what's going to happen. I speak to Tan (Kesler) after each game. It really doesn't matter to me who's at the front of the technical area. If this football club wins a game and performs and everybody gives everything and the fans go home happy I'll go home as happy as them."

Dawson then is doing well in the role but there is no signs of a permanent appointment just yet at Hull.
