Marco Cassetti enjoyed a fine playing career largely based in Italy but, for two impressive seasons, he was a Watford player.

The Italian earned a handful of caps for his national team and also featured for the likes of Lecce and Verona, whilst his six-year spell at AS Roma was perhaps what he was best known for.

In 2012, though, he swapped Italy for England as Watford took him on loan and he quickly became a bit of a cult hero at the club.

Indeed, that loan turned permanent the following season and he was a regular throughout the 13/14 campaign as well, earning plenty of fans for not only what he brought to the field but also a beard that many were simply in awe of.

In a recent interview with the Athletic, Cassetti even touched on that and how it has gone down in recent Watford folklore but also revealed he would one day maybe like to manage in England, which brings us more to the present day.

Indeed, he's currently a football coach having earlier this year being awarded his UEFA Pro Licence and so it's clear where his immediate future may well lead him.

For sure, with what he brought as a player you could see him making it as a fine boss and, with Watford fans always pleased to see and hear from him, maybe one day he'll be an incumbent of the Hornets' dugout.
