Jonathan Kodjia enjoyed a fine spell in the Sky Bet Championship during his time at Bristol City.

The Robins marked their return to the Championship with the £2million signing of Kodjia in 2015, with the striker arriving from French side Angers SCO.

Kodjia hit the ground running in England, scoring 20 goals in 48 appearances for City in 2015/16, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous strikers in the division.

Naturally, bigger clubs came calling for Kodjia, with the Ivorian joining Aston Villa in a deal potentially rising to £15million.

Kodjia was to score 31 goals in 106 games during his time at Villa Park, with the forward eventually falling out of favour under Dean Smith following their long-awaited return to the Premier League.

So what is Kodjia up to nowadays?

Well, the 31-year-old now plys his trade in Qatar for Al-Gharafa SC, after leaving Villa in January after finding regular game time hard to come by under Smith.

Kodjia scored seven goals in 10 games for Al-Gharafa following his arrival from Villa Park last season, and he's hit the ground running this season, too.

The Ivorian has scored four goals in five league games thus far, with Al-Gharafa sitting fourth in the league table having picked up nine points from five matches.

Now 31 years of age, it remains to be seen whether Kodjia finishes his career in Qatar, or whether one last return to England is on the cards for the striker.

Having been a proven goalscorer in the Championship before, clubs may look to take a punt in the future.
