Considering 60 percent of Jay Bothroyd's Queens Park Rangers goals came in his final five appearances for the club tells you how one-cap England international performed at Loftus Road.

Having recovered from difficult spells with Charlton and Wolves, the striker's outstanding three seasons with Cardiff City earned him another chance in the Premier League after he was snapped up by QPR following their promotion back to the topflight in 2010-11.

It would take Bothroyd eight matches to get off the mark, but like London buses, scored in back to back games against Tottenham and then Manchester City.

But the frontman wouldn't score again for 14 months and despite a flurry of goals in his final few Rangers appearances, following his return from a brief loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday, he made a surprising move to Thai outfit Muangthong United and then Japanese sides Jubilo Iwata and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo followed.

Given the step down in quality, Bothroyd flourished in Asia, netting more than 70 times across six seasons in both Thailand and Japan, and despite turning 39 in March, is continuing to score goals on a regular basis for Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.

In a recent interview with Wales Online, Bothroyd was asked about his potential retirement, and said: "I'm 37, but I always say when my body stops doing what my mind wants it to, that's when I'll stop. But, at the moment, I'm still sprinting past people and I'm still scoring goals."
