Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has claimed that the club need to sign a new striker "as soon as possible" but "will find a solution" if they're unable to bring the right player in, which has drawn an interesting response from Whites fans.

On-loan Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah was recalled by his parent club at the start of the month, leaving the Whites short of forward options–with Patrick Bamford the only striker in their senior squad.

Bamford has been in good form this season, scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances, but without any cover, an injury to him could potentially derail their campaign.

The Whites have been linked to a number of potential replacements, including Southampton's Che Adams and Sheffield United's Billy Sharp.

In a press conference ahead of Leeds' clash with Sheffield Wednesday on the weekend, Bielsa was asked about the club's search for a new forward.

Leeds are in a commanding position in the Championship, first with a nine-point gap on the side in third, but many supporters will likely be wary of inaction following last season's late slump in form.
