Leeds United youngster Sam Dalby scored two goals for the side's under-23 outfit, as they beat Ipswich Town 3-2 last night.

The 18-year-old who was signed from Leyton Orient in January, is yet to taste first-team football at Elland Road, but is it time for Paul Heckingbottom to be bold and hand the young forward a chance?

We discuss....

What have Leeds got to lose? Nothing. Why not give youth a chance?

After all, Caleb Ekuban doesn't look like he's ever going to score, so they should absolutely stick Dalby in.

They took a chance on his from Orient and now they should give him a taste of first team action. No time is better than in a series of meaningless dead rubber matches, which is what they now face.

George Dagless

Hecky has nothing to lose.

A number of his strikers are well out of form and Leeds have nothing left to play for so why not see what the kid can do?

He's highly thought of and though it might seem early, it could prove a gamble that pays off if he starts firing.

Chris Gallagher

Yes, he deserves his chance before the end of the season.

Dalby is impressing in the U23 side and with Leeds having little to play for now is the perfect opportunity to give him a chance.

You don't know how players will cope until they get an opportunity and Heckingbottom is in a rare position where he is allowed to experiment - so give the kids a chance to see if they can force their way in for next season!

Alfie Burns

The two goals Dalby scored last night were both excellent finishes, with the youngster showing real composure in the box.

Caleb Ekuban has struggled for goals this season, as has Jay-Roy Grot.

Dalby looks like a natural No. 9 and Heckingbottom doesn’t really have anything to lose.

I can see the teenager getting a go before the end of the season.
