Stoke City have confirmed that midfielder Badou Ndiaye has left the club to rejoin Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

The Potters only bought the Senegal international in January for around £14m, but despite some impressive displays, it wasn't enough to keep the Potters in the Premier League.

Many expected the 27-year-old to leave following relegation, however, he was still at the club for the first game of the season at Elland Road.

But, Ndiaye, like many of his teammates, were extremely below par and he lasted just 63 minutes and he hasn't played since.

With Ryan Woods joining the Potters to provide competition with the likes of Peter Etebo, Joe Allen and Darren Fletcher, it seemed inevitable Ndiaye would leave.

And, the news was announced on social media today, with the Turkish champions bringing the player back to the club.

Given his attitude over the summer and the new faces that have strengthened the midfield, few Stoke fans were bothered by the news.
