Plenty of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to react to the club's Under-23 side's 1-1 draw against Stoke City.

The Black Cats fell behind in the first-half as Potters forward Gabriel Kyeremateng opened the scoring for the hosts in the 16th minute at Harrison Park.

Sunderland then rode their luck as Stoke went close to doubling their lead through Jake Dunwoody who failed to beat Anthony Patterson after being played through by Tre Pemberton.

Following a quiet start to the second-half by both sides, Jake Hackett stepped up to the mark for the Black Cats by firing in a fantastic free-kick.

Although Stoke would be denied by the woodwork in the closing stages of the clash, Elliot Dickman's side held on to secure their first point of the campaign.
